Friday news
Today, we started a take home journal like the students did in 2nd grade. They wrote a letter home in it today. Please read what they wrote and add your comments or tell about what your family did over the weekend.
Next week are parent-teacher conferences. I look forward to seeing all of you.
Many of the students are working on increasing their fluency or pacing when reading. One way to assist them at home is to have your child read outloud, read with them to model a fluent pace, have them re-read the page or paragraph until they are smoother and quicker. I will be sharing data regarding their reading tests they have taken during conferences.
